About us

In 2019 a group of experienced counsellors came together to establish Hope Counselling Dundee. This is a new independent charity working to help people who are experiencing mental health difficulties or emotional distress. Our ethos is Christian, but we welcome people of all faiths and none.

Our director Dr Tricia Kiehlmann trained as a medical doctor in Dundee, then moved away and worked as a GP for 20 years before retraining as a counsellor. In 2012 Tricia led a team setting up Hope Counselling in Aberdeen, a similar charity providing high quality affordable counselling, demonstrating good outcomes, and receiving very positive feedback from its clients. In 2017 she had the pleasure of moving back to Dundee, and is delighted to coordinate the team here.
